We’re back with another fun edition of the fastest growing wine show on the Internet! Every week, Northwest Wine Night introduces you to the Northwest’s best wines. Four wines are tasted on each episode by our panel…a group that knows a little about wine, and A LOT about having a good time!
In episode 8 of Northwest Wine Night, host Brian Calvert is joined once again by his good friends Denise Whitaker and Michelle Esteban from KOMO 4 News, local producer and podcast host Jeremy Grater, and Seattle food writer Julien Perry. The panel blindly tastes a couple of Cabernet Sauvignons and a couple of White Blends.
This episode was filmed at Ray’s Boathouse in Seattle. Thanks so much to the staff there for making this an awesome experience.
(SPOILER ALERT: Scroll any further, and the names of this episode’s wines will be revealed. Most people who watch the show don’t like to have this information until after they see the wines tasted. But if you need to know right this second, keep scrolling…)
This Episode’s Wine:
Red #1: Reserve Cab Sauvignon – 2007 Silver Lake Winery, Woodinville WA
Red #2: Col Valley Cab Sauv – 2009 Sharecropper’s Wine, Sunnyside WA
White #1: Col Valley Melange – 2009 Waterbrook Winery, Walla Walla WA
White #2: Liliko’I White – 2009 Island Mana Wines, Portland OR
Thanks for watching. Please share Northwest Wine Night with your wine-drinking friends!
Ever had trouble choosing a wine? We’re very excited to welcome you to a new way to discover the great wines made in Washington, Oregon, and the rest of the Pacific Northwest.
Northwest Wine Night is a fun concept featuring people you know tasting wines, and giving good recommendations. No snobby attitude or fancy terms; just a straight forward introduction to some great wine. The first episodes will be taping soon, and the Internet debut will be towards the end of January. So tell your friends…there’s an easier way to find a good wine made right here in the Pacific Northwest. Welcome To Northwest Wine Night!
First episodes taping soon, Click Here to get your wine on the show or your business on the website!
Northwest Wine Night tapes on location in some of the coolest restaurants and lounges in the Seattle-area (there will be taping opportunities in other areas soon). There is no fee for this opportunity to have your business exposed during an entire episode of Northwest Wine Night.
The host restaurant/lounge agrees to the following:
1. Provide a well-lit, private area large enough for our set (about 8-10 feet of floor space)
2. Provide wine glasses for the taping. We need up to 64 glasses, though not all at once.
3. Provide appetizers for our guest panelists (8 people total) so they can cleanse their palate.
4. Provide a server who is licensed to open and pour the wine we supply for the taping.
There is a 5th condition, and this might be the most important. Our host agrees to use their social media streams (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc) and/or in-restaurant marketing (fliers, table toppers) to promote the fact that they’ve hosted a taping of Northwest Wine Night.
Tapings last between 1 and 2 hours.
There is no fee to host a taping. Contact Us: Vintner@NorthwestWineNight.com
